Job Title : Metal Fabricator

Fabcon Project Group Pty Ltd

Location : Wetherill Park NSW

Base Salary : $74,891 + Super

Hours Per Week : 38.00

Responsibilities

Mark off and fabricate structural steel and other metal stock to make or repair metal products and

structures.

Main Duties

Study blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements

Select, clean and prepare metal stock

Cut marked out metal sections and shape using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines.

Shape and bend metal sections and pipes using hand and machine tools, and by heating and

hammering

Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instrument

Join metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting

Examine weld for width of bead, penetration and precision

Clean and smooth welds by filing, chiselling and grinding

Qualifications & Experience :

AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, AQF Certificate IV, or 3 years of relevant experience.

Essential skills

Enjoy technical activities; Physically fit; Strength to handle materials, tools and machines;

Good hand-eye coordination; Able to work in a team; Able to work independently; Patience; Accuracy;

Safety conscious.

Pay : $74,891.00 per year
