Support Worker

We are looking for strong and experienced Support Workers with great availability!

Williamtown SIL is a male dominated and robust home so suitable for confident Support Workers who are comfortable with high-behaviour environments. For the right person this is an excellent opportunity to support clients with capacity building, safe relationships and access to the community and encourage them to be a part of their hobbies and interests.

Due to the closeness to Christmas we ask that anyone who applies already has their NDIS Workers Check + Working With Children Check.

As a Support Worker you will be :

• Supporting adults with complex mental health and, intellectual and physical disabilities in an independent living model.
• Following positive behaviour support and care support plans as directed by clinical teams and site managers.
• Encouraging capacity building to enhance clients' current skills, such as hygiene, safe relationships, domestic duties, using public transport and accessing the community safely.
• Promoting choice and control and show willingness to participate in clients' day to day routines, goals, and interests.
• Providing personal care with dignity and respect
• Some of our requirements
• P2 NSW Drivers Licence or higher
• Flexibility to work across a 24 / 7 roster
• Working with Childrens check and NDIS Workers check or willingness to obtain

Please note : successful applicants will be required to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance and a Working with Children Check. If you have lived or worked for a continuous period of 12 months or more in another country within the last 10 years, a certified International Police Check from that country / countries will also be required.
