Organisational Development & Change Program Manager About the role : Reporting to the Head of Landside Operations, the Manager Environmental Services provides senior leadership in the management of PoM's environmental obligations contributing to reduce the risk to human health and the environment from pollution or waste. In addition, the role will identify, manage and mitigate to the extent possible, environmental and contaminated land risks in the port of Melbourne.
Your key responsibilities will be : Manage and provide senior leadership and specialist advice for the environmental assessment and management of PoM's assets and lands. Provide specialist advice to internal Port of Melbourne divisions and port stakeholders on contamination assessment and management aspects of development proposals, site works, property acquisitions, property leases, infrastructure licenses, dredging and other issues. Provide effective PoM environmental management to ISO Standard 14001 : 2016 and ensure Port of Melbourne is meeting its responsibilities and statutory obligations to regulatory authorities in relation to relevant Environment Legislation and in accordance with Port of Melbourne policy. Provide specialist advice to ensure ongoing compliance with PoM's dredging programs and environmental management obligations. Ideally you will have : Working knowledge and understanding of Integrated Management Systems relating to ISO Standards Quality 9001 : 2016, Environment 14001 : 2016 & OHS 45001 : 2018 Sound knowledge of various State, Federal and International Environmental Legislation. A tertiary qualification in a related discipline, or equivalent Understanding of principles and methodologies for effective stakeholder engagement We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and fosters equity.
