The Head of Data is a critical leadership role within the Digital Leadership Team. As the Head of Data you will take an MMS First approach, leading a team of Data practitioners across five key pillars :
1. Data insights and analytics, ensuring all critical digital assets have real time tracking of user analytics across our digital and physical touchpoints to determine priority of effort
2. Data science and engineering, taking insights to formulate advanced, predictive modelling capabilities to trigger personalised offers, experiences and solutions
3. Coach, inspire and grow people capability across core data domains
4. Data Governance and enablement across MMS First strategic data initiatives
5. Proactive management of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and dashboards to enable strategic decision making and planning
This role also plays a critical role as Change Agent for the company as we embark on our 5 year Digital Transformation journey. This will include defining our Digital, Technology and Data centres of excellence, working alongside LT peers.
The Key Responsibilities of this role can be categorised as follows :
- Reporting and Insights
- Servicing various business units with regular analysis of information to provide insight into business drivers, KPIs performance and trend reporting.
- Data Governance
- Organise and lead the data and analytics governance with quality initiatives including the oversight of relevant policies and managing compliance. Enable the organisation to have absolute confidence in the reliability of data
- Data Platforms and Emerging Technologies
- Oversee the enterprise's data and analytics platform for digital business working. Contribute to the design, develop and maintain the data lakes, and other repositories and ensure business intelligence systems meet organisational requirements

- Manage a team of data professionals : Ensure the team is resourced with the appropriate level of resources and capabilities to meet the organisations needs and within budget, manage the performance of the team to achieve the agreed deliverables and outcomes
To be considered for this role you will have the following :
Mandatory 3+ yrs experience in data transformation with proven results10+ yrs experience working across data and analytics5+ yrs experience in predictive analytics and data scienceCross-functional experience co-creating across other disciplines, inclusive of UX, Design, Software engineering, agile ways of workingProven ability to critique and drive digital change with consideration of customer, commercial and technical possibilities and constraintsThe ability to prioritise effectively to maintain a manageable workload for teams and maximise customer value delivery.What we can offer you :
