Network Investigation TechnicianLocation : Kewdale, WA, AU, 610517 Jan 2025In this role, you will be responsible for conducting technical investigation of network faults. To investigate, identify and resolve moderate to complex network issues associated with the LV and HV network, including power quality, electric shock investigations and conducting network switching operations.
This role is based at our Kewdale Depot.

- Progress process improvement initiatives to achieve optimal service delivery and safety initiatives by identifying and evaluating opportunities for performance improvement.
- Conduct planned and unplanned LV and HV network switching including emergency fault response activities.
- Operate within defined business processes and policies and comply with all legal requirements.
- Take personal accountability for work performance and be open to other contributions. Work cooperatively within the team and across Western Power.
- What Makes You a Great Fit
- A" grade WA Electrical Workers License endorsed for Electrical Fitting / Mechanic - essential.
- Possess Cert III (ESI Distribution / Transmission Overhead / Power Systems Distribution Cable Jointing) and / or Electrical Trade Certificate, and hold a current WA Electrical Workers License.
- A minimum of 5 + years advanced technical experience within a particular discipline, preferably in the Networks business. Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency in accordance with the Energy Safety Act 2006.
- Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency especially substation inspection, testing, maintenance and repair
- Flexibility to work in a 24 / 7 environment
- Good interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work alone or within a team environment
- Knowledge of field practices, procedures, engineering standards and regulations applicable to the Section and Stream.
- Knowledge of distribution and transmission networks and supply requirements
- Knowledge of construction, maintenance and operations on the distribution and transmission networks
- Regulations and procedures applicable to the section and stream
- Experience dealing with external customers
- Valid WA Driver's License Class 'C' or 'C-A'
