Specialist End User Compute

About the role :

The Technology Operations team is currently seeking a Specialist End User Compute to join them on a Monday-Friday roster based at Perth. Reporting to the Manager Infrastructure & Industrial Comms, you will be responsible for providing Level 2 and 3 support services for the IT and OT systems, operational teams and connected IT / OT equipment used by Roy Hill. This role encompasses service ownership, including the maintenance, risk management, and optimization of these systems to support the organization's operational and strategic objectives.

Duties :

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of modern EUC platforms (e.g., Windows 10 / 11, Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, Citrix, or other VDI solutions).
• Manage the lifecycle of all end-user devices, including procurement, imaging, deployment, patching, and decommissioning.
• Champion the modern workplace experience, including Microsoft Endpoint Manager, OneDrive, Teams, and productivity tools.
• Develop and enforce EUC standards, policies, and governance in line with organisational needs and security requirements.
• Provide Level 3 support for complex EUC incidents and problems, working closely with the service desk and infrastructure teams.
• Lead large-scale EUC-related projects such as hardware refresh programs, VDI migrations, or mobility rollouts.
• Monitor performance, usage, and user experience metrics, continuously improving the service through automation and user feedback.
• Ensure compliance with security baselines, including endpoint protection, encryption, patch management, and identity integration.

Skills and Experience :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
• Extensive experience in EUC environments with part of that at a senior or lead capacity.
• Deep technical expertise in Microsoft technologies : Windows OS, Intune, Microsoft 365, Azure AD, SCCM / Endpoint Configuration Manager.
• Experience with virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Strong knowledge of mobile device management (MDM), endpoint security, patch management, and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell).
• Ability to develop standards, procedures, and documentation in support of EUC services.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, lead initiatives, and influence across teams.
