About Your RoleAs our DES Employment Consultant your top priority is coaching and providing one on one support to people with a disability and different demographics to overcome barriers to employment. Your role is to bring positive energy and build relationships that allow you to identifying their employment interests and current skills, areas of development, develop individualised job plans, and support people through the whole journey of attaining and maintaining employment.
This requires someone who is forward thinking and confident with proven experience supporting someone with a disability and a natural ability to motivate someone and interact 1 : 1 or in a group. Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable hitting targets and making warm and cold calls with prospective businesses.
- Open to FT or PT.
- Location is flexible but ideally you will be based at our Head Office at Kingsgrove or Blacktown.
- However you will be required to work at the site that requires support - these include Bankstown, Campbelltown, Blacktown, Liverpool or Mascot.
- Key Responsibilities
- Run assisted group and individual job search sessions.
- Liaise and negotiate with local business, employers, industry and other organisations on behalf of our employees, to job carve, or effectively refer them to suitable opportunities.
- Develop individualised training plans, and deliver / facilitate individual and group learning activities and training.
- Assess work requirements, abilities and interest.
- Assist employees to develop the skills and knowledge to work safely and effectively.
- Implement and coordinate behaviour management plans.
- Ensure efficiency and compliance with administrative processes.
- Maximise our employee's participation in the workplace.

- Requirements
- Previous recruitment / employment services / relationship building experience and experience supporting someone with a disability.
- Clear communication
- Great administration and report writing skills
- Current NSW Driver's License (P2 and above) and your own vehicle to travel to Blacktown.
- First Aid and CPR | WWCC | NDISWC
- Please note
- This role requires you to work on site everyday and work from the site that requires support.
