The EL1 Assistant Director, Communications and Engagement Projects is an important team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team. This includes building team capacity to effectively deliver required outcomes and implement practical solutions in unique or varying circumstances.
The role will be responsible for one or more of the high-profile projects based on current priorities and may change over time.
The EL1 Assistant Director, Communications and Engagement Projects is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the Agency to advance the Agency's interests across a range of forums.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited toProviding strategic direction to project areas to drive behavioural change through Communications and Engagement with targeted content and engagement activities.Providing advice and support to the Director within the Agency's project management framework including, strategic planning, reporting, and forecasting to identify priority areas for communication and engagement.Supporting leaders in driving organisational change and corporate culture in complex environments with the ability to quickly earn trust and achieve strategic objectives.Developing and delivering best practice communication and engagement to staff with measurable impact.Developing a range of internal and external accessible communication material including key message packs, articles, documents, web content, PowerPoint presentations and leadership.Experience working with change management, deliver behavioural change within agile project management methodology.Manage staff and competing work priorities, identifying areas of overlap and key gaps and opportunities to refine and improve approaches.Representing the Agency in stakeholder interactions and meetings, delivering effective messaging to clients as well as key stakeholders.NOTE : the key responsibilities of the role are based on current priorities and may change over time)
