Job descriptionAPS5 / APS6 Data Analyst who has experience with data preparation, statistical analysis and visualisation. About the role The first project is to improve pricing strategy of insurance fund and develop a new premium allocation model. Deliverables include integrating claims and premium data to produce loss ratio analysis, analysing premium allocation proxies to find statistical trends and scenario analysis in excel to determine impact of changes. The second project is to design and implement data governance frameworks and supporting policies to align with the department's broader data governance framework. Deliverables include developing an inventory of data assets, improving data quality and accessibility and working with data owners to facilitate change when required. Historical claims data (claims system exported to excel). Historical premiums data (premium allocation models in excel and pdf invoices). Improving and analysing PowerBI dashboards. Property asset schedules (excel). Claims and premium data have historically not been linked. Data integration across silos is required. Data cleaning and standardisation will be required for certain datasets. Ideally, you will have Proficient in excel and PowerBI Experience with data preparation, statistical analysis and visualisation. Experience designing and implementing data governance frameworks. Ability to work collaboratively on projects to deliver timely outcomes. Ability to work independently to achieve results, using data analysis to inform policy and improve systems. Experience using data analysis to inform policy or decision making will be highly regarded. How to apply Reference : 1446734
