Job descriptionPassion for learning and compassion towards people with disability Experience with challenging behaviours and complex trauma will be highly regarded Able to work with limited supervision and in a team environment Demonstrated safe work practices Willing to learn sign languages and proactive approach Availability of minimum 2-3 shifts per week Be willing to travel up to 30km for work Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders Understanding of restrictive practices will be highly regarded Job Type Casual Salary 30.40 - $35.60 per hour Flexible hours Perth WA : Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required) Are you willing to travel up to 30km for work? Do you have a safe and reliable vehicle that you are willing to use to transport clients? Education Certificate I - IV (required) Experience Support work or healthcare : 1 year (required) First Aid Certificate or willing to obtain (required) Working with Children Check (required) National Police Certificate (required) Driver Licence (required) Australia (required) Day Shift (preferred) Night Shift (preferred) Overnight Shift (preferred)
Qualifications and Compliances :
- Minimum Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged Care, Community Services or Mental Health or other relevant qualifications will be desirable but not essential
- NDIS workers screening check is must prior to commencement
- Current WA driver's license
- Working with Children's Check
- NDIS Covid 19 certification - Infection prevention and control for Covid 19
- Certificate of Completion of NDIS Modules
- Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals
- New Worker NDIS Induction Module
- Vaccination Certificate - Proof of full vaccination
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Right to work in Australia
- Current Police Check
