MCW is looking to appoint an Accounts Officer to work within our Finance team and be a key player at the heart of our operations.Based at our national head office, you will play a pivotal role within our corporate services function, processing the financial transactions of the company (and subsidiaries / related entities) and meeting certain reporting obligations.You will have wonderful exposure to a broad finance function, hands-on support and career development, with guidance from our Finance Manager and CFO, as well as direct collaboration with the broader team.ResponsibilitiesAssist with general financial accounting duties, including the general processing of financial transactions and journalsSupport billing functions, including charge-out rates, invoice adjustments, and disbursementsEnsure controls and processes are followed and required audit trails existMaintain appropriate record keeping and filingAssist with period and year end processingProvide support to the accounts payable functionEnsure timely processing of credit card transactionsMaintain petty cash and cheque payment processingProvide back up to the Trust Accounting Officer in relation to processing trust transactionsRequirementsWe welcome applications from candidates wanting to take the next step with their career and step into an Accounts Assistant role, as well as candidates who have direct prior experience.
