For two generations, the agency has provided a wide variety of programs and services in response to the changing needs of the more than 20 Spanish-speaking communities who live in Victoria. Providing a wide range of programs for aged people to make their life easier, fun and they get the care they deserve.
- SELECTION CRITERIA
- Qualifications _
Community Services Diploma or similar is preferred. Experience of (2) two years working within the Aged Care sector and Client Management System (CMS).
- Experience_
- Experience in Aged Care and community services organisations
- Rostering Software Experience preferred
- Knowledge_
- Sound understanding of Home Care Packages (HCPP) and Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) guidelines.
- Understanding of a person-centred philosophy and Consumer Directed Care (CDC).
- Thorough understanding of Wellness and Reablement philosophy.
- Knowledge of rostering in alignment with legislative guidelines (sleepovers, breaks, broken shifts and overtime) is ideal
- Skills & competencies_
- Demonstrated skills in developing high-level roster coordination, implementing options, analysing risks, making good judgement and problem solving to maximise efficiencies and meet budget requirements.
- Ability to efficiently deploy resources
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to conduct client intake interviews to assess appropriateness for Aged Care Services.
- Sound intake and assessment skills.
- Ability to promote transparency and quality service delivery, achieving high levels of client satisfaction.
- Excellent computer literacy skills in spreadsheets, databases, word processing programs and software including E-tools, (or similar Client Management System), and My Aged Care (MAC) portal.
- Ability to coordinate services according to relevant program guidelines.
- Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a broad range of people, both internal and external to the organisation, in a professional and ethical manner.
- Problem-solving, decision making and organisational skills.
- Fluent in Spanish and English and sound understanding of the Spanish-speaking communities' history, culture and needs.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients who have different needs, such as people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) and LGBTI backgrounds, or people with a disability.
- Ability to promote the organisation's policies and practices focused on building a diverse workplace.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Hold or be prepared to obtain a Police Check
- Hold COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate
