Key Senior Leadership opportunity
For nearly 150 years, Morphettville has been an important social, sporting and economic hub for South Australia, proudly hosting days of racing action, as well as being a multipurpose venue featuring function rooms and numerous outdoor spaces able to host events of all occasions. Currently undergoing a $350m redevelopment, Morphettville will soon be home to a new community plaza, mixed use apartment buildings, townhouses, a supermarket and more. Entering an exciting period of growth and developing their workforce for the future, there is a new opportunity for a Head of Property and Infrastructure to join the senior leadership team and contribute to the success of the organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Head of Property and Infrastructure will provide strategic direction, management and oversight of Morphettville Racecourse's property assets and infrastructure, including the successful execution of major building and infrastructure projects. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal functionality, safety and growth of physical assets. Leading a dedicated team, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments, and external stakeholders, to drive initiatives to enhance the property portfolio and infrastructure development. Leading maintenance of the venue and race track, you will drive a culture of efficiency and proactivity and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
To be successful in this role, you will be a proven strategic leader within commercial construction or infrastructure. You will be an excellent people leader, able to influence at all levels of an organisation, and enjoy the challenges and rewards of developing a team from a cultural and technical perspective, while bringing an organisational excellence mindset to the team. Possessing exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, you will liaise with a series of external stakeholders including state and local governments, Racing SA and trainers.
Relish the opportunity to be part of a lifestyle events community precinct and bring it to life.
