This isn't your average L&D role, it's a high-impact position for a professional who thrives on challenge, innovation, and shaping organisational future-readiness.About the RoleAs Head of Capability & Development, you'll step into a key leadership role guiding a high-performing team across multiple locations and champion a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and strategic alignment.

You'll work closely with our executive and operational leaders to : Develop and embed a group-wide learning and capability strategy Drive innovation in learning, especially in AI-augmented learning environments Lead learning gap analyses and align capability initiatives with strategic priorities Oversee the design and delivery of learning programs that are effective, scalable and Enhance our use of Learning Management Systems, digital learning tools, and data insights Build frameworks and pathways that support lifelong learning and career growth What You'll BringWe're seeking a strategic and commercially minded leader with strong technical expertise and a passion for adult learning, ideally someone with senior L&D and capability experience in private higher education or vocational training environments like TAFE.You'll also bring : 10+ years' leadership experience in learning and capability within large or complex organisations (1,000+ employees) Proven track record in designing and implementing enterprise-wide capability strategies and performance frameworks Strong analytical and strategic mindset, with expertise in learning needs analysis, data insights, and organisational psychology Broad technical proficiency across LMS optimisation, digital learning tools, and adult learning design Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with commercial acumen and the ability to influence at all levels Benefits : Discounts at literally hundreds of everyday retailers Access to full NFP salary packaging, which substantially increases your take home pay We offer career progression, and plenty of training but - way more importantly - we offer a clear and genuine reason for coming to work each day Mandatory Qualifications & RequirementsTertiary qualifications in Education, Organisational Psychology, or Human Resources Willingness to obtain or provide : o Rights to Work in Australiao NDIS Worker Screening Checko Working with Children Checko Completion of the NDIS Orientation Module – Quality, Safety & YouReady to Lead the Future of Learning at Vertaview Group?If you're a dynamic and strategic learning leader with a passion for unlocking potential, apply now and be part of a team that's making a meaningful difference every day.
