Apprentice Advisors are responsible for managing the employment and training of apprentices and trainees employed by Directions while hosted to other organisations; as well as manage relationships with these companies and other stakeholders.
- Key responsibilities
- Manage and be responsible for an apprentice case load from recruitment through to successful completion
- Manage the engagement of unplaced apprentices and their prompt rotation back into employment
- Maintain regular contact with existing host companies, work sites and RTO's
- Actively seek out new opportunities, strategic partnerships and promote the activities of Directions
- Work efficiently, professionally, and collaboratively with others
- Comply with Directions professional behaviours and code of conduct policies
- Passionate and committed to developing the youth of today as the future
- To be successful for this role you will
- Hold a construction related trade qualification
- Qualification in Training & Assessment or willing to work towards
- Previous experience managing apprentices and trainees
- Extensive experience across commercial, industrial, high-rise and domestic construction industry
- Clear National Police Clearance
- Current Drivers Licence
- Solid understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship System
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to various stakeholders
- Outstanding organisational and time management skills
- Energetic, self-motivated, able to work independently
- Previous experience in managing or mentoring of apprentices / trainees
- Ability to relate to young people in the working environment
- Have a proactive approach to safety and sound knowledge of WHS
- Good computer skills with Microsoft packages
Travel throughout Perth metro and regional WA will be required. Available for an immediate start (will wait for notice periods as required) with the point of hire from our Midland Office.
