Mechanic

Support our Wangara-based mechanical yard and warehouse team in a full-time, permanent role.

THE ROLE

• Service and maintain a range of equipment such as generators, air compressors, light vehicles and heavy rigid vehicles
• Service and maintain specialist coating and concrete remediation equipment
• Regional travel to site for shutdown may be required
• Assist with the general running of the mechanical yard
• Ensure yard is operating to a high safety standard
• Organise, order materials and maintain stock levels of consumables
• Conduct general tool maintenance, electrical test and tag and fire extinguisher tagging
• Onsite servicing and repairs
• Occasional away work with overtime and incentive rates
• Update and monitor equipment maintenance tracking software

ABOUT YOU

• Cert 3 in a Mechanical Trade or 4th year LV Mechanical Apprentice
• Valid drivers licence
• Positive drive to operate a successful work environment
• Strong interest in automotive industry
• Experience with servicing and conducting maintenance works on mobile plant machinery
• Enthusiastic about the prospects of achieving a formal qualification and growing your career
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
• Comfortable using computer programs including emails and Microsoft software, including excel spreadsheets
