Job OverviewWe're looking for a Technical Account Manager based in Australia to join our growing Technical Services team. You'll be a trusted advisor to some of our largest and most complex customers, helping them get the most out of Buildkite from onboarding through to ongoing success.
This is a customer-facing, relationship-driven role where you'll work closely with teams across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Support to ensure our customers feel supported, heard, and confident in scaling their delivery practices with Buildkite.
What You'll DoPartner with Customers for Long-Term Success Manage a portfolio of high value, strategic customers, understanding their goals and helping them get value from BuildkiteLead technical discussions with customer teams to guide onboarding, unblock challenges, and support integrationsBuild strong relationships across both engineering teams and senior stakeholders to drive product adoptionWork closely with Sales on a smooth handover from pre-sales to post-sales, ensuring continuity and confidence from day oneConduct regular customer check-ins, share product updates, track goals, and proactively surface opportunities for deeper engagement or expansion Collaborate Across Teams to Drive Impact Advocate for customer needs internally, escalating challenges and sharing insights with Product and EngineeringRepresent customer feedback in product planning conversations, identifying common patterns and suggesting solutionsProvide hands on guidance and training to help customers become confident users of BuildkiteContribute to process improvements within the Technical Services team, helping us deliver a consistent and thoughtful customer experienceYou Might Be a Good Fit if You Have : A strong technical background, with experience using tools like Buildkite, AWS, GCP, Terraform, Kubernetes, or other CI / CD and DevOps platformsExcellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both engineering teams and senior leadershipA passion for customer success, with an empathetic approach to building lasting relationships with customersStrong problem-solving skills, thriving in fast-paced environments where you can work autonomously and handle multiple prioritiesExperience working with remote, cross-functional teams, and enjoy adapting to different time zones and customer needsComfort with ambiguity and a proactive attitude to handle evolving customer needs in a dynamic environmentWhy You'll Love Working at Buildkite : Remote first culture and support for work life balanceCompetitive compensation and benefits packageMeaningful work with some of the most innovative companies in techOpportunities for professional growth and learningA supportive and collaborative team culture where your ideas matterBuildkite is a differently shaped company that values work-life balance and supports staff to work the ways that make sense for them.
