We are looking to hire support workers for a variety of clients. The role of the Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. You will provide support to people with disability and / or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living. You will also promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development for clients.
The key needs of the clients we are currently hiring for are those living with psychosocial needs, these clients will work best with support staff who are able to keep them engaged with various community services or in the home, providing them with adequate assistance in keeping their lives full and interactive in waking hours. The woman would like to be involved in all aspects of their care and day to day life, including participating in meal planning and cooking, daily activities and hobbies as they enjoy being occupied at all times. This preference would require support workers who are used to dealing with challenging behaviours and are adept at assisting the clients with their full attention at all times.
Preferred at least 6 months experience, and a Cert III or higher.
