The Position

An opportunity has become available for an Assistant Accountant at a well-established and large organisation with a high global reputation. This is a initial contract opportunity based in North Sydney. They are close to public transport and also offer 2 days Work-From-Home. As the successful candidate you will report to the Finance Manager. Additionally, my client has been known to sponsor WHV in the past and have been quite successful on this. If you currently hold a valid WHV with at least 1 year to expiry, please apply. Please keep in mind you must currently be located in Sydney.

The Responsibilities

• Reporting into the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to);
• Prepare and review financial statements, reports, invoices and expense reports.
• Process weekly journals for each required legal entity- including direct debit, cheque, receipts, payroll, merchant fees, bank fees, and debt collection.
• Process weekly clearing account journals to reflect cash received in bank.
• Month end bank reconciliations
• Prepare and post month end accruals and prepayments
• Other ad-hoc tasks.
