About the role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Team Leader for a fixed-term, full-time opportunity to join our Community Care Unit (CCU) residential service in Cairns. In this role you will lead and support a dedicated team in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented services to people, their families, and carers in line with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and organisational values for people with a psychosocial disability.
As the Team Leader, you will act as the practice lead, providing supervision, mentoring and coaching to staff, while also overseeing the operational requirements of the service.
About the service
The Community Care Unit (CCU) is a longer-term residential service that provides intensive treatment and recovery support for people experiencing serious mental health challenges. It supports individuals whose lives have been disrupted, making independent living difficult. Clients can access staff 24 / 7 whilst being supported to stabilise their mental health and gain the skills necessary to safely transition back into the community from a hospital environment.
