- Logistics Coordinator
- to join our Procurement Team within our
- Wetherill Park NSW Branch.
Reporting to the Category Procurement Manager (Indirect & Logistics) the primary responsibility of the role will be to organise and coordinate the movement of stock from point to point nationally in a professional and cost-efficient manner, whilst ensuring the safety and security of the stock.
Wetherill Park location. On-Site Parking. Immediate commencement.Exciting ChallengesDirect activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking of goods in transit.Act as a key contact for domestic transport movements between Sika sites and customers.Assist Category Manager with any international freight related commercial tasks.Follow schedule and policy changes through collaboration with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other relevant staff members to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.Ensure hire equipment such as pallets, other storage and transportation equipment are optimised at all sites including the coordination of process of hiring and de-hiring.Monitor spend on transport nationally to ensure that expenses are consistent with approved budgets.Random check transport invoices to ensure we are charged with the agreed rates.Organise urgent / last minute deliveries.Prepare required information / numbers / data for monthly transport report.Any other tasks and responsibilities that may arise due to business demands that falls within the scope of this role.We Need Your SkillsMinimum 2 years logistics and warehousing in a large organisation or distribution centre.Hold an appropriate tertiary qualificationHave strong systems and process knowledge (With AX, SAP would be highly regarded)Conflict resolution skills with mínimal impact to the businessHave people management skills and be comfortable in dealing with various stakeholdersSound relationship building and negotiation skillsGood organisation and coordination skills.Building Trust Every DayWHO IS SIKA AUSTRALIA?Sika Australia is a well-established industry leader in the manufacturing of construction chemicals servicing Construction, Industry, Marine & Mining divisions across Australia.
