An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Clinical Nurse Specialist - Court Liaison Officer to join the Department of Health.

Please note this position is also being advertised as a Court Liaison Officer (600612) and only one position will be filled on merit. Please note this position is eligible for a Multi-Disciplinary Allowance. The Role : As part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality forensic mental health services and in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies, the Court Liaison Officer will :

Provide assessment, intervention and referral services to individuals at the beginning of the criminal justice system. Provide specialist liaison and consultation about mental health matters and management of associated problems to Magistrates, Solicitors, Police and Community Corrections staff at the Courts. Details of appointment : Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary : $106,570 - $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023. You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Correctional Allowance of 6.5%. Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.

Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health / psychiatric nursing qualification; or completed prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, a hospital based training program that resulted in previous registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse registration authority within Australia, New Zealand or the United Kingdom.
