Production And Horticulture Supervisor

Our family-owned farm in Gobur, Victoria, is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Production and Horticulture Supervisor to join our team. This role is an exciting opportunity to oversee day-to-day operations on our horticulture business and contribute to the cultivation of high-quality produce, reporting to the Managing Director.

• Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operations
• Monitor crop growth and development, ensuring optimal production and quality
• Trial and implement the best practices for soil management irrigation, pest control and other horticultural practices
• Liaise with the Managing Director as well as external partners and suppliers
• Identity and report unusual disease or plant pest signed and carry our emergency disease procedures
• Qualifications
• Relevant AQF Certificate II or Certificate IV and previous relevant experience in the same or similar position (essential)
• Experience with farm machinery and equipment operations (essential)
• Required skills
• Proficient knowledge of horticultural practices to manage the growth and health of plants
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Excellent leadership skills
• Strong work ethic and proven initiative
• Confident decision making and delegation of tasks and duties

Pay : $65,000.00 - $74,000.00 per year
