We are seeking a skilled and experienced Outboard Mechanic to join our team of marine service professionals. In this role you will be responsible for diagnosing maintaining and repairing outboard motors and marine systems across a variety of vessels who want to work in a dynamic and handson environment while advancing their career in Australia.
Key Responsibilities :
- Inspect diagnose and repair a range of outboard motors.
- Perform scheduled maintenance overhauls and predelivery inspections on marine engines and associated systems.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
- Install marine accessories such as steering systems control cables and fuel systems.
- Conduct sea trials and water testing to ensure optimal engine performance.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs parts used and service recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with Australian marine safety standards and WHS policies.
Requirements
Certificate III in Mechanical Technology or equivalent Australianrecognised trade qualification.Minimum 2 3 years handson experience with outboard engines (dealership or marine workshop experience preferred).Solid understanding of marine electrical systems and fuel injection technologies.Competency in using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical manuals.Strong attention to detail and a safetyconscious mindset.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced environment.Must have own toolkit suitable for marine mechanical repairs.Valid Australian driver s license (or ability to obtain one).Benefits
