The primary focus of this role will be to oversee operations and will involve day-to-day decision making, delegation of tasks and enforcing of safety rules, policies and procedures.
Your day will involveBatching pre-mix concrete into agitator trucks for deliveryCommunicating and coordinating with fleet of agitator driversOrdering raw material stock of cement, sand, aggregates, additive chemicals, etc.Facilitate safety initiatives including pre-starts, toolboxes, and incident reportingGeneral supervision of yard housekeeping, maintenance and plant operations as requiredCommunicating with internal and external stakeholders (customers, dispatching team, management, etc.)What are we looking for?Experience in batching concrete and / or supervising teams in a similar role or industrySound computer skills or experience in production systems / softwareStrong communication skills and commitment to safetyFlexibility and willingness to cover several responsibilities across the plant as requiredFEL ticket and forklift licence will be highly regardedWhat's on offer?Permanent, full-time opportunity offering overtime ratesMonthly Rostered Day Off - 13 additional, paid days off!We provide a working environment that is safe, caring, supportive and dynamic with a clear focus on continually encouraging and developing its peopleAbout Boral ConcreteAt Boral Concrete, we have more than 200 operational sites across Australia.
