Reporting to the Maintenance Manager this role is responsible for the optimisation of the performance, availability and safety of fixed plant, by liaising with the process team, maintenance planners and superintendent.
To be successful in the role you will possess the following skills, qualifications & personal attributesElectrical or Mechanical Trade Certificate DesirableFrontline Management QualificationsUnderground Experience (Mono Pumps)Ability to read and understand electrical schematic drawing and fault-finding control circuitsAbility to mentor and lead a team of HV Electricians7-10 years' experience in the electrical field including a minimum of 3-5 years' working on processing plants with preventative maintenance programs and systems3-5+ years' working in a supervisory capacity, preferably on Mine Sites, with exposure to maintenance planningExperience working in accordance with AS3007 and electrical wiring rulesHazard identification, risk assessment and incident investigation experienceIntermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office and competent with maintenance planning and work orders utilising software such as ProntoKey responsibilities include but are not limited toAccept statutory appointment as an Electrical Supervisor and ensure compliance with associated statutory responsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the electrical maintenance activities primarily of the process plant and services, including camp and offices, ensuring productive and quality work outputsSupervise and coordinate regular inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repairSupervise critical HV and LV electrical maintenance tasks ensuring the work is completed safely and on timeAssist, guide and mentor the team as required and provide hands on assistance as requiredLiaise closely with the maintenance superintendent, and process team to prioritise electrical maintenance activities to reduce impact on productionAssist in work planning, scheduling and resource allocation with a focus on the weekly electrical maintenance planUnderstand the monthly process forecast and communicate plant targets with the maintenance teamEnsure employees receive adequate training and instruction to perform their workPractice effective cost management and identify cost minimisation strategiesDash100762
