Brockman Community House is a not for profit community-based Neighbourhood Community Centre, Child care and Out of school hour care service catering for up to 92 children since 1986. Brockman House is run by a Management Committee comprised of volunteers from our community and friendly professional staff.Brockman House is looking for Qualified and Assistant Educators to join our team casually with the prospect of going permanent. We are searching for Educators with knowledge and experience working within Early Childhood Education & Care.
- Responsibilities
- Assist in Developing and delivering the curriculum founded on the centre's philosophies whilst following childcare regulations and National Quality Standards.
- Create positive learning environments including resources based on child-directed learning.
- Assist in Developing strategies to guide positive children's behaviour.
- Build positive relationships with children, families and staff.
- Communicate effectively with children, families and staff.
- Observe and record children's growth, development and behaviour.
- Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe.
- Be proactive and innovative.
You will need :
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education, working towards or equivalent.
- Current Working with Children Check card and National Police Certificate.
- Commitment to high-quality inclusive education and care.
- Willingness to try new and innovative ideas and make them work.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience working within Early Childhood and or OSHC setting.
- Be available throughout the week and at short notice.
