Information Assurance Systems Program Office (IASPO) is seeking a Configuration Officer with a high level of competence to assist with the acquisition and sustainment of modern cryptographic equipment providing secure communication capabilities to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Working as part of the engineering team you will be given the unique opportunity to shape the delivery of an engineering and technical program. The APS6 Configuration Officer will work with partners from industry and other Defence groups guiding the design, development, integration and evaluation of the IASPO cryptographic program.
The APS6 Configuration Officer is accountable under broad direction to undertake complex technical configuration activities. They will work within a framework of legislation, established principles, work practices and procedures in accordance with Defence's mission and business objectives. They will work independently having some authority and discretion to investigate information from diverse sources and explore innovative approaches to support the longer-term business objectives.
The Information Assurance Systems Program Office (IASPO) is part of the Joint Command, Control, Communications and Computer Systems Branch (Joint C4S) within the Joint Systems Division (JSD) of the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). IASPO has responsibility for major and minor High Assurance Cryptographic Equipment (HACE) acquisition projects and in service sustainment of HACE fleet and supporting systems. As the range and nature of work in Defence is so diverse, so are the different work environments.
