As an EL 2 Budget Coordination Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective management and coordination of financial resources across our agency. This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to be at the heart of financial decision-making, contributing directly to strategic planning and resource allocation for major initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate closely with senior leaders and program managers to develop and monitor budgets, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on financial matters, highlighting opportunities for cost optimisation and resource reallocation.
  • Proactively identify potential budgetary risks and present well-informed recommendations to mitigate them.
  • Analyse financial data, prepare insightful reports, and present findings to key stakeholders, guiding them in making informed financial decisions.
  • Facilitate budget planning meetings and support the development of multi-year financial plans.
  • Act as a focal point for budget-related queries and offer guidance to staff at all levels to enhance their financial literacy.
  • Be responsible, manage and lead a team of over 10 staff
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline budget coordination and financial reporting.
  • The Successful Applicant
  • CA or CPA would be highly desired
  • Proven experience in budget management, financial analysis, and reporting within a large and complex Government or public sector organisation is advantageous at either EL 1 or EL 2 level.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to decipher complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and tight deadlines.
  • An innovative and adaptable mindset, keen to embrace new technologies and methodologies in budget coordination
  • Excellent leadership skills.
