- A little about the role
Reporting to EGM - Governance & Commercial, you will be responsible for timely and commercial resolution of insurance claims on an end-to-end basis.
- Key Duties
- Manage Centurion's portfolio of insurance claims end to end.
- Provide insurance claims advice to the Business and liaise with various stakeholders (insurers, brokers, loss adjusters, customers, suppliers) to ensure the claims process is managed effectively.
- Negotiate insurance claims and disputes with customers.
- Manage cost recovery against external parties where claims thresholds not met.
- Generate settlement documents and seek approvals.
- Generate accurate and detailed claims reporting.
- Design and implement a robust internal claims process and supporting documentation.
- Educate the business on insurance policies and claim process (internal and external). Ensure Centurion's adherence to insurance policies and claim process.
- Effectively communicate insurance claims information and decisions to the Executive.
- Identify trends in claims and recommend practical strategies to mitigate risks and decrease costs.
- Desired Skills and Experience
- Does this sound like you?
- 8+ years' experience in the general insurance industry. Broad insurance knowledge is essential.
- Experience in handling logistics liability claims.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end claims management.
- Tertiary qualifications and / or ANZIIF qualifications are highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to collaborate and engage meaningfully with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong planning and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Well-developed proficiency insurance policy documents, interpreting contracts, and legislation.
- Enthusiasm towards company objectives and leadership in respect of company values.
