The Local Government (State) Award 2023 provides for a 3% increase in rates of pay and 12 % superannuation in the 2025 / 26 financial year Yearly flu shots, skin checks and annual health and wellbeing fair Discounted gym membership through Fitness Passport Flexible working conditions Key Responsibilities As a property Officer, you'll be responsible for the administration of Council's community and commercial leases, licences, and footpath seating agreements.
You will work closely with the Property Manager to provide operational and administrative support across a wide range of property- related matters.
Provide day to day administrative and operational support to the Property Manager across a broad and diverse property portfolio Administer all lease and licence related tasks, including lease preparation, rent and market reviews, exercising of options, and managing critical dates Assist in leasing vacant properties and coordinate legal advice when required.
Manager the Property Debtors Ledger, facilitating payments and ensuring compliance with Council's debtor collection policy Foster positive tenant relationships addressing queries and resolving issues efficiently.
Respond to stakeholder inquiries and maintain strong communication regarding Council property assets.
Report maintenance issues to the Facilities team via Council's CRM system Support property-related projects and provide additional administrative assistance as required.
Ensure a safe working environment by reporting risks and incidents in line with Council's WHS policies.
What you'll need to have for this role : Relevant qualifications (e.g.
property, real estate) highly regarded and / or substantial equivalent experience in a similar role.
Good working knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations.
Solid capabilities in managing income and outgoings.
Strong organization skills and the ability to plan for and meet deadlines.
Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders including lawyers and business owners.
Demonstrated customer service orientation.
High-level computer literacy across Microsoft suite or similar databases.
