Reporting into the Project Manager, the new Safety Technician ("ST") will be a part of our Rental & Safety Services (RSS) team and based at Balcatta office in Perth.
The RSS team provide Draeger Safety devices on a rental basis to a range of customers.
The ST is to play a crucial role in providing operational support and service to customers both remotely and in the field, ensuring delivery of RSS to a high standard.
Due to the scope of the role, it requires the ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, as informed by project needs.
Additionally, the is a requirement to undertake short-term travel and working away from home for deployments, sometimes on short notice.
Key responsibilities include : Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of safety products and equipment to meet specifications, customer requirements, and relevant standards; Action basic troubleshooting, escalating issues as required; Assist in mobilisation, operation, and demobilisation of Safety Service projects in line with procedures; Provide written documentation for operating time, performance records, and project progress; Operate as a shift leader during onsite safety staffing projects; Support delivery of Draeger-certified training courses alongside senior team members; Apply a compliance focused mindset across all operations, and; Always ensure a safety-first approach.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the following attributes : Relevant trade or technical qualification; 2+ years' experience in a similar safety services or relevant technical role; Ability to develop knowledge of the products and services of Draeger safety; Proficiency with Microsoft Office suit of applications and tools; Proficiency in PointOut and CRM (both highly desirable and advantageous); Adaptability and readiness to handle multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment; Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn; Exemplary understanding of compliance rules, with a proactive mindset and the ability to act as a role model in upholding and promoting compliance standards, and; Excellent customer focus, analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiating and facilitation skills.
