Here at Powerlink, we play a central role in the transition to a cleaner, greener energy future; connecting Queenslanders to a world class energy future. To support this generational transformation, we have responded by prioritising digital engineering, cyber security, spatial analytics, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.
For our Business IT Team, this means that we are currently delivering our largest ever digital portfolio of strategic and cutting edge projects and experiencing growth opportunities like never before.
We call this role a Client Solutions Analyst, but you might know it as a Service Desk Officer, as you will join our IT Service Desk team to assist with Level 1 and 2 queries and incidents that come through from our staff.
Based in our corporate office complex in Virginia, this role plays a key role in ensuring that corporate services are provided reliably and efficiently to enable Powerlink to deliver electricity transmission services to more than 5 million Queensland customers.
As you deal with incidents that have been escalated by our staff via multiple channels including our Service Now portal, phone calls or in person, you will conduct analyses and troubleshooting with limited guidance and written procedures, maintaining a customer-focused approach at all times.
You will be required to participate in an on-call roster outside business hours; one week in every four weeks.
In order to perform in this role, you will need to demonstrate previous success operating in a similar IT Service Desk or Help Desk environment, ideally supporting corporate employees in a large, complex organisation.
With a customer-centric approach, and a positive attitude, you either have tertiary qualifications in a discipline such as Computing or an equivalent level of relevant experience. Relevant professional qualifications in ITIL practices or practical experience in ITSM approach would be advantageous, as would be the completion of or current participation in a Microsoft Certification.
