About the Team & the Position AEMO's Strategy, Architecture & Emerging Technologies (SA&ET) team are responsible for the following core functions :
Maintenance of AEMO's technology strategy and its alignment with the AEMO business vision, goals, and strategic imperatives to ensure that the IS strategy is maintained / updated as part of company planning processes Development and evolution of the architecture plans (Business, Cyber Security, Data, Application and Technology and roadmaps) to guide the development of systems and platforms and support AEMO's strategic imperatives. Position Responsibilities Develop and publish program architecture artefacts that describe the solution for the Application Modernisation workstreamand are aligned with the overall program and with the broader enterprise architecture target state.This includes working collaboratively with other domain architects and subject matter experts within Digital, the business and the industry. Responsible and accountable for the program architecture for Application Modernisation, supported by other domain Architects such as Strategic Domain Architects. Any deviations from the target Enterprise Architecture are to be approved by the Enterprise Architecture governance. Develop and govern application modernisation, review the architecture and technical options packs with supporting recommendation. Provide design principles, patterns and decision trees for a contemporary functional model. Oversee development of enterprise patterns that include infrastructure and cyber domains. Review high level design artefacts to ensure the design is in alignment with approved program target state architecture. Identify and raise architecture, technology and program level risks and issues. Provide input as requested to management artefacts (e.g. board papers, steer co packs), in relation to program architecture Develop and maintain relationship with key stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor to influence outcomes to ensure they align with program and organisational goals. Provide architectural guidance to vendors implementing the solutions as well as the external stakeholders Upload project artefacts into the Enterprise Architecture Repository (Orbus Infinity) Position Requirements Skills & Experience :
Strong experience in real time, business critical technology environments. Proven experience in the energy industry or related businesses, specifically application modernisation. Experience in Enterprise Architecture, developing and governing the application patterns and standards Managing complexity and competing priorities Building relationships and trust with all levels. Breadth of experiences in technical / functional domain Risk awareness and management Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to attain and maintain an appropriate level of national security clearance. Education / professional Certifications :
