Our landscape supply yards, and garden nurseries located in Bendigo, Castlemaine and Maryborough are presented and maintained to the highest industry standards and are operated by professional, qualified staff who deliver expert advice, knowledge and services to our retail and trade customers.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Sales Assistant / Nursery Hand with Operator experience to work at our Landscape Yard and Nursery (at the sales counter) as required.

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused and passionate about horticulture.

You are also expected to be hands-on, given that the team is small and growing.Your main responsibilities will include : Responsible for sales loader operationsPerform yard duties as and when requiredProviding high level of customer service and appropriate horticultural adviceEnsuring all nursery products are maintained and presented to a high standardDelivery of Garden Landscape products to customersDaily operations of the site including opening and closure of the site, banking and cash reconciliationWorking closely with Site Supervisor or Site Manager and perform additional duties as and when requiredComplying with ASQ's Workplace Health, Safety, and Environment management systemThe General Retail Industry Award - Level 1, 2 and 3 will apply based on the candidates' skills and experience against the award classification descriptor.Key Selection Criteria : The successful candidate will have a passion for horticulture, be able to provide positive and confident customer interaction, and the ability to perform manual duties.Must have proven retail experience.Knowledge / experience in nursery and landscape products.Experience using Point of Sales (POS) systems.Must hold Medium Rigid Truck License (MR)Able to work weekends and public holidays as required.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines / customer requirements and follow direction.Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.Ability to work in a team environment and promoting a culture of teamwork.Excellent communication, interpersonal and exemplary personal presentation.Why work for ASQ?ASQ is a proud employer of over 100 staff working across seven sites within our organization.
