The School of Architecture, Design and Planning has a strong record in teaching architecture and architectural science and is recognized as an international leader in research in this field.
- assisting in the development of existing research projects on indoor environmental quality in social housing, performing related energy simulations, assessment of building performance and assisting in urban heat monitoring and microclimate simulations.
- working closely with a wide range of stakeholders especially in social and affordable housing.
- supervising research assistants.
- coordinating, incorporating, and communicating research - both individual and with collaborative teams.
- actively contributing to, and taking a leading role in, organising and promoting seminars and workshops in relation to these projects (including communication, logistics, web content, and managing social media feeds).
- About you
- completed a PhD in architecture, architectural science or building physics, with a background in architecture and design
- demonstrated knowledge and an emerging profile in the following the research areas : sustainable design, energy modelling, climate data analysis, architectural technology or construction
- experience in DesignBuilder, Energy Plus, ENVI-met, GIS or QGIS, programming in Python or R
- experience in conducting outdoor and indoor environmental monitoring
- demonstrated experience in writing scientific publications in relevant fields
- demonstrated experience in working in collaborative environments.
