The UTS Research Institute for Innovative Solutions for Wellbeing and Health (INSIGHT) brings together partners and experts from across traditional boundaries to collaborate on ambitious, innovative, transdisciplinary and translatable research that goes beyond conventional approaches to health care. We tackle the systems, not just the symptoms, uncovering sustainable solutions to persistent, population-level health problems.
One of INSIGHT's dedicated research focus areas is in Women and Children's Health. INSIGHT brings together maternal, reproductive and child wellbeing experts across the life course. We work across disciplines to understand the broad determinants of health and wellbeing across the first 2,000 days of life, and by considering women's health within family community and society, we improve connectivity between life transitions (reproduction, menopause, chronic diseases), while supporting women in their work and community leadership roles. INSIGHT is committed to building a world where every person is empowered and supported to thrive – no matter their background or the social, economic and environmental conditions they live in.
