We are excited to invite a dedicated and motivated Injury Management Advisor (maternity leave cover) to join our national team, based at Melbourne Airport,

on a full-time,fixed term contract basis.

More about this role :

As the Injury Management Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting injury management across all dnata Catering & Retail, administering and coordinating rehabilitation programs to ensure the timely and safe return to work of injured and / or ill employees within the local business unit. You will also promote a positive health and safety culture.

In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are :

• Manage the workers compensation function with a focus on proactive injury prevention strategies
• Develop and implement initiatives that contribute to overall workers compensation strategic objectives.
• Drive the return-to-work program and overall management of workers compensation claims within our insurer framework.’
• Improve the overall national workers compensation performance from the applicable industry rate (inflight caterers)
• Coach management and drive organisational education with regard to responsibilities in relation to relevant legislation
• Manage all legal responses, enquiries and representations relating to workers compensation matters and Workers Compensation Court
• Manage the Company’s Return to Work (RTW) program, including improvements to the system, policy, process and supporting tools
• Ensure that insurers are provided relevant employer information when they are preparing documentation for IME to optimise the quality and relevance of the reports
• Manage and develop the injury management coordinator to ensure they can provide leave coverage when required
• Contribute to a safety-first environment and work within Workplace Health and Safety policies, procedures and guidelines at all times.
• Develop strategies and methods to reduce time lost and improve the RTW experience, including working with all parties to ensure participation and co-operation for a return-to-work plan
• Work to improve the regular reporting processes so that leaders across the business have data that is useful, actionable and able to support decision making
