The primary objective of this position is to ensures that project specifications and quality requirements are fulfilled, and competent inspection personnel are assigned to verify compliance the Project requirements.
Position AccountabilitiesEnsure project activities comply with Company quality requirements and the associated Quality Management Plan.Provide leadership to the project team for QA, QC, Classification and Verification, at all phases of the project.Set out Criticality Ratings for equipmentSupport and input into the procurement of equipment and services, to ensure quality requirements are included with all contracts and purchase orders.Set vendor inspection budget and identify inspection requirements for the supplied items.Review SDRL's indicating all PO documentation requirementsConcise quality requirements identifiedTender evaluationReview of Supplier / Contractor deliverables, including Supplier / Contractor inspection management plansApproval of Inspection and Test Plans identified and marked up with appropriate intervention points in line with criticality ratingCoordinate with Package Leads for attendance at FATs, SATs and / or SITs.Coordinate and evaluate Suppliers and Contractor's Quality processes.Supplier evaluations where requiredInspection Assignments for vendor inspection to meet criticality ratingDevelopment of Inspection assignment package and associated checklistsSelection of suitable inspectors for inspection assignment scopesParticipate in Pre-Inspection Meetings (PIMs) with equipment supplier / contractorCoordinate inspectors to carry out the appropriate inspection visits and intervention points as described on ITPsDistribute Inspection reports and follow-up on any outstanding issuesRaise and facilitate closure of NCRs prior to equipment deliveryFacilitate Inspection Release processesExpedite Supplier / Contractor MDRs and review of MDR, including relevant engineering discipline review is completedClose out of Inspection assignments and inclusion of inspector performance rating in Company master data baseSupervise quality resources and support Quality Team at fabrication facilities.Develop and maintain overall Validation and Verification Plan.Develop Scopes of Validation for project for submission and agreement with PNG Regulatory Authority, if required.Develop Scopes of Work and requests for proposals for the Validation & Verification Body for contract and facilitate raising of contract.Liaison with the Validation & Verification Body and manage the Validation & Verification process.Liaison with the project teams on obtaining responses to Validation & Verification Body comments in a timely manner.Coordinate all Verification activities in accordance with the agreed Validation and Verification Plans, ensuring activities are completed in line with the project schedule, and auditable evidence is readily available.Provide technical support to the project team on equipment certification matters.Provide oversight of Supplier / Contractor obtained Verification & equipment certifications and compilation as requiredSupport the handover process and handover document to operation.Input into Company specifications.Provide input to Company reporting process.Computer literacy and strong inter-personal and communication skillsProvide support to Risk Management Process.Provide support to Action Management Process.Compliance with the Company Management System (SMS).Compliance with the Company Delegation of Authority (DOA).Compliance with the Company Corporate Governance and Safety requirements.Ensure project activities comply with Company quality requirements and the associated Quality Management Plan.ExperienceA minimum of 10 years' experience in management of quality in the oil and gas industry.Solid understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO29001, and experience in providing quality related training requiredMinimum 5 years, recent auditing experience of oil and gas Suppliers and Contractors.Sound knowledge of management of vendor inspection activities and coordination.Understanding of Verification & Certification requirements for equipment, Class requirements and Regulatory requirements for Validation & Verification.High level understanding of subsea equipment manufacturing, testing and installation methods.High level understanding of construction, welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical and instrument installation and the codes and standards associated with these disciplines.High level understanding of Certification requirements for equipment, Class requirements and Regulatory Requirements for Validation.Able to plan, organize and conduct multiple functions in a dynamic work environmentQualificationsEssential qualifications required for this position a
