Law Clerk / Uni Student (Casual)

Shakenovsky & Associates Pty Ltd is a progressive boutique law firm of solicitors and migration agents located in the Sydney CBD. We provide practical and strategic advice and services to a diverse client base. We practice in various areas of law.

We require an enthusiastic and capable law clerk seeking greater opportunities to gain a huge range of legal experience on a casual basis.

The applicant requires strong organisational skills and attention to detail as they will be ultimately managing their own matters. Proficiency in LEAP Legal Software, Migration Manager and Office 365 would be an added bonus. The applicant must be fluent in English.

The casual position will involve the following duties :

• Receptionist and administrative duties
• Diary and calendar management
• Filing and archiving
• Filing of court documents including online and in person
• Typing and drafting correspondence
• Preparing briefs to counsel as required
• Liaising with clients, counsel and legal representatives
• Dictaphone typing - drafting many types of legal document, tax invoices and correspondence
• Assisting with reviewing and drafting legal documents, agreements
