About The Role

Deliver and maintain the Healthy School Lunch program within the assigned school through preparing, cooking and serving nutritious and tasty school lunches for children and staff, as well as undertaking kitchen cleaning duties / processes at the assigned location.

Period of Appointment

7 July 2025 - 26 September 2025.

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequent full-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Essential Requirements Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)Complete two hospitality units : SITXFSA005 (SITXFSA001) – Use hygienic practices for food safetySITXFSA006 (SITXFSA002) – Participate in safe food handling practices, ORComplete one retail unit : SIRRFSA001 – Handle food safely in a retail environment; ORComplete three community services and health industries units : HLTFSE001 – Follow basic food safety practicesHLTFSE005 – Apply and monitor food safety requirementsHLTFSE007 – Oversee the day-to-day implementation of food safety in the workplace
