ACT Heritage administers the provisions of the Heritage Act 2004 and assists in the recognition, protection, conservation and celebration of the ACT’s unique heritage places and objects to ensure their identification, assessment, conservation and promotion for present and future generations. ACT Heritage also coordinates the annual Canberra and Region Heritage Festival and administers the annual funding of the ACT Heritage Grants Program.
ACT Heritage is seeking a Community Engagement Officer assist in the administration of community engagement programs that conserve and promote heritage within the ACT community. Existing programs include the ACT and Region Heritage Festival, the Canberra Tracks signage program, and the ACT Heritage Grants. We are looking for a proactive and passionate person who is well organised, a strong communicator who can assist a variety of stakeholders and can work in a team to deliver community engagement programs.

Notes : An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months. Please note, under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation / desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
