- This role involves providing direct, person-centred support in line with individual behaviour support plans, promoting independence, and ensuring safety and dignity in all care provided.
- Key Responsibilities
- Support participants with daily living tasks, community engagement, and personal care
- Implement Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies as per Behaviour Support Plans (BSP)
- Accurately record shift notes and report any incidents or changes in behaviour
- Engage participants in planned indoor and outdoor activities
- Maintain professional boundaries while building trusting relationships
- Work collaboratively with team members, families, and allied health professionals
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to NDIS Code of Conduct
- Essential Requirements
- Minimum 6 months experience working with clients with behavioural needs
- Completion of
- BSP Training
- or willingness to complete before starting
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Valid
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Valid Australian Driver's Licence and access to a reliable vehicle
- COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate (if required by client)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to travel within Stanthorpe region
