About the Role Uralla Shire Council is currently seeking volunteers with a passion for our local community to assist in our visitor information center, assisting with customer service and tourism enquiries, marketing and community engagement. Uralla Shire is thriving. Our community are highly engaged and recognised as a strength of our region. The local visitor economy is at once flourishing yet still full of untapped potential. Under the direction of the Tourism and Events Coordinator, volunteers will be based in the Uralla Visitor Information Centre, which is about to receive upgrades, additional resourcing and investment, however there is potential to extend volunteering across other areas of Council. Whilst previous experience is not a prerequisite, you will be required to use general office equipment such as computers and software packages. The Visitor Information Centre is open seven days a week, including some public holidays, and we have various flexible shifts available for volunteers to suit your lifestyle - volunteer for as little as a half day a week!
