Job descriptionUtilise a strength based approach focusing on special interests to create opportunities for people to come together to share interests and create friendships; Collaborate with participants and their parents / carers and assess the needs of the individual participant; Run activities including centre-based activities, outdoor activities, excursions and incursions related to interests identified by the participants in the individual groups; Mentor, coach and support individuals and encourage greater social inclusion; Job Type Casual Salary From $0.01 per year Afternoon shift Fixed shift
Volunteering is great way to gain skills and experience as well as meet new and like-minded people.
As a volunteer group assistants help supervise a group of children and young adults on the autism spectrum. As a social group assistant you will be responsible for encouraging, mentoring and supervising young adults on the autism spectrum.
- Sessions runs fortnightly Saturdays from 1pm to 4pm.
The sessions are a combination of in-house activities (for example, crafts, movies, games) and excursions. This position would be appropriate for students and new graduates of social work, occupational therapy or psychology.

This position requires you to have a WWCC and NDIS clearance check which we can help you obtain.
