As leader of our national business, you'll champion our vision, mission, and objectives, implementing our national strategic plans, and track performance across our business. You inspire teams, drive the operational performance of the business, and ensures projects deliver for customers and the bottom line.
Key Responsibilities : Strategy and Governance : Develop and drive the strategic business plans and their implementation, champion our vision, deliver business objectives, and build upon our standards and targets.
Management and Leadership : Lead and manage individual business branches, mentor managers and individuals, foster strong relationships with stakeholders, and represent the company at various events and functions.
Financial : Manage budgets and financial risks and ensure branch profits are maximised through tight systems and processes across business departments.
Sales and Marketing : Lead the sales effort through management of the national sales manager, set and manage the company's marketing plan in conjunction with external marketing partners, recognise business growth opportunities, and engage the national sales team to develop and foster strong relationships with key customers.
Human Resources : Work with the HR Manager to deliver HR initiatives, manage performance reviews, conduct disciplinary meetings and performance management meetings, and ensure the recruitment processes attract and retain the best people in line with our core values.
Operations : Drive operational performance through robust targets and leadership of the National Operations Manager and his teams; drive input cost savings; review pipeline forecasts and output; and implement programmes to maintain the highest work safety and quality standards.
Systems : Ensure systems support clear and accurate reporting, stock management and efficiency. Manage updates and budgeting of IT equipment requirements and systems development to support clarity, timeliness and decision making.
Skills and Attributes :
Exceptional leadership, motivation, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects, staff, and customers concurrently.
Proficient in delegation of tasks to leverage your effectiveness.
Self-motivated and driven, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to plan and see the "big picture", prioritising competing interests for long-term growth.
Solutions driven, able to quickly identify and understand challenges and implement effective strategies.
Excellent time and project management skills.
A level of personal and professional integrity that is beyond reproach.
Experience and Qualifications :
10 years' experience in senior management.
Expert knowledge and experience of the events industry is highly desirable.
Advanced knowledge of production and project management processes.
Proven financial acumen across budgeting, analysis, and performance management.
Advanced modelling and reporting skills.
Salary guide : $170k - $220k
