Job descriptionOperational Assurance Officer Location : Perth Office - CBD, WA, AU, 6000- 19 Nov 2024 Your Role in Action Undertake field-based compliance assessments against compliance checks / assessments, approved work practices and design / technical standards / drawings. Support field-based supervisors to take responsibility for safety, the environment, quality and ensure safe work practices are followed. Identify technical hazards, risks, and control gaps, and recommend solutions and proactive advice on field-based risk mitigation. The management of external contractor activities to ensure compliance with the Contract Management Framework Develop, manage, and maintain beneficial relationships with relevant workforce to ensure key deliverables are met. Coach and mentor operational field staff and line managers as required, helping them maintain an acceptable level of technical skills, safety, environment, and quality compliance. Complete and / or contribute towards completion of allotted tasks according to agreed time and deliverables. Review and suggest opportunities for improvement as a result of operational field-based assessments. What Makes You a Great Fit Minimum 5 years solid field-based experience in Electrical Distribution and Transmission network and / or heavy industry planning, construction, operation, commissioning, and maintenance. Quality Control and Assurance experience. Experience in managing quality assurance and control in field operations, practices, and procedures within the utility sector. Willingness to travel away from primary work location, sometimes for extended periods, including night and weekend work when necessary. Ability to plan and work to priorities and work independently to meet identified deliverables and outcomes within established timelines. Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, that enables effective interaction with key stakeholders, peers, and the general community. Knowledge of financial and contractual practices and procedures is desirable.
