- The Opportunity
The Environment & Sustainability Specialist will lead the continual development and execution of the environmental monitoring program across the value chain for on-ground operations.
You will assist in the design and development of processes to ensure the environmental impact and footprint is reduced.
The Environment & Sustainability Specialist will provide technical input to reduce the pollution risk and ensure compliance with obligations as demonstrated through monitoring activities. This will include identification of environmental risk and delivering continuous improvement.
You will provide assessment and analysis of information with a view to improve the organisational environmental sustainability performance.
Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesBe the technical expert on environmental monitoring across energy, waste, contamination, and air qualitySubject matter expert in containment and treatment systems to prevent pollution and deliver continuous improvement through the design of controlsLead the development, execution and continual improvement of the environmental monitoring programManage contractor performance for environmental monitoring activities to ensure effective delivery against scope requirementsSupport the collection of sustainability data across the on-ground network and reporting of performance metricsUndertake environmental assessment and analysis of monitoring dataSkills and CompetenciesExtensive experience in designing and leading monitoring programs across an organisation to meet strategic objectivesExtensive experience in data management and analysis from environment and sustainability monitoringTechnical expertise and demonstrated experience in the management of energy, waste, contamination, and air qualityDemonstrated experience in delivering environmental projects to improve controlsDemonstrated experience in project management and the ability to prioritise and deliver work on schedule, whilst working on multiple tasks with competing prioritiesBachelor degree or higher in Environmental Engineering or Science (or similar), and 8 years' industry experience within this technical disciplineEligibilityMust be an Australian citizen and have the ability to obtain a Security Clearance.
