We are the current leader in Western Australia for these vehicle types and as our business expands here in QLD, we are looking for two skilled Fabricators / Boilermakers to join our small, dedicated team at our Slacks Creek workshop. With new state-of-the-art equipment on the way to complement our workshop in Perth, this is a pivotal time to join us and play a key role in our growth on the east coast.
- The Role : Fabricator / Boilermaker
We are seeking full-time Fabricators / Boilermakers experienced in working with aluminum and mild steel. You will be responsible for designing and fabricating solutions, including racks and truck bodies for light vehicles and small trucks, primarily for the traffic management and incident response sectors. Your ability to suggest improvements to current designs will be highly valued as we continuously strive for excellence.
With the arrival of a large format plasma CNC and a 135T CNC press brake, you'll have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools that enhance your craftsmanship. Your role will be crucial to our team as we embark on this exciting phase of expansion.
- Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld aluminum and mild steel components according to technical drawings.
- Contribute to the design and build of racks and truck bodies, ensuring high standards of quality.
- Inspect finished products to confirm they meet specifications and quality requirements.
- Offer suggestions for design and process improvements.
- Operate new CNC equipment to boost efficiency and precision in fabrication tasks.
- Trade Qualified Fabricator / Boilermaker with experience in aluminum and mild steel.
- Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience preferred.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
- Comfortable working with both traditional and modern CNC equipment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
