• Metal Fabricator
• Main Responsibilities

Design and fabricate various aluminium products including balustrades, gates, fences, etc

• Tasks

Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications to determine job requirements.

Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock.

Measuring and marking out cutting and bending lines.

Setting up metalwork machinery

Double-checking design specifications before commencing with work.

Joining metal sections using various welding techniques, bolting and riveting.

Aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.

Assess welded surfaces, structures and components to identify errors.

Use specialized machinery for industrial welding and oversee machines that perform the same job.

Maintain and repair all machinery.

Follow and enforce strict safety regulations such as wearing heat-resistant gloves, protective masks, and safety shoes.

Monitor machinery for appropriate usage and temperature.

Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.

• Qualifications
• A Cert III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent or relevant experience
• Experience
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar environment
• Skills

Advanced knowledge of engineering design and manufacturing procedures.

Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints.

Proficiency with metal fabrication tools
